I currently ride a 2008 HD Electra Glide Classic. I bought it new in El Paso Tx and have ridden it in Texas. The Vulcan I rode in Texas, Oklahoma, Germany, Austria and in Hawaii. The Island of Oahu is only 110 miles around but it takes about 3 hours because of traffic. I had a 95 Honda Shadow 1100 that I rode in Texas, Lousiana, Mississippi, and down into Mexico. I bought that bike used and really liked it until I scattered it down a exit ramp at about 70 MPH. I had a lot of road rash and 4 broken bones but as soon as I could ride again I bought a new bike. These are pictures of my bikes and the bikes of some of my freinds, as well as what kind of bike I want to buy.

As any biker knows beer is an important part of riding. I use to drink Bud Light with the occasional Corona and Miller Light thrown in. Since going to Germany I have rediscovered beer. There are 2 distinctly different beers. There is Pils (American beers are Pilsner) and there are Weisen beers. The Pils is lighter, clearer and bitterer. The Weisen is heavier, thicker and cloudy. I don’t drink Pils unless I am in a region where you can’t get Weisen. I like the Weisen, specifically the Hefenweisen. Hefenweisen is amber colored and you cannot see through it. When poured it has quite a bit of head on it so that is looks like whip cream on top. There is also a Kristalweisen (very light and clearer) and a Dunkelweisen (very dark and black). There are more brands of beers than there are countries in Europe; everywhere you go there are different labels. I have had Mammoth beer, Rat Beer, Dragon Beer, and Wolfs Beer just to name a few. Germans are very serious about their beer, their are different kinds of glasses for Pils and Weisen and you will not be served Weisen in a Pils glass or vice versa. I have been to several countries while stationed here and Holland has a fruity tasting beer called Hogarten. In Austria I had an egg based beer called Egger Beer. I even had a Budweiser (labeled as the original) from Czechoslovakia. In England I had Woodpecker Cider (a mild beer) but my favorite there was a Canadian Beer called Carling Black Label. I highly encourage you to try the European beers. Since coming back to the states I have tried to buy imports when I can but they are usually more expensive and hard to find. I have found a Pyramid Hefeweisen from California that is pretty good. I also found a Michelob Amberbock that is really good and easy to find. But now I am in Texas and drink Shiner Bock. Some day I will go back to Germany and have some more Real beer.
